Tenth anniversary of the Prince Claus Chair

The Prince Claus Chair in Development and Equity celebrated its tenth anniversary on Wednesday 28 November 2012 at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague. 

The celebration was in the form of a closed symposium on Development and Equity, the theme of the Chair.

Programme
ISS Rector, Leo de Haan welcomed the guests introduced Her Royal Highness Princess Máxima of the Netherlands, Chair of the Curatorium of the Chair who delivered the opening speech.

Her Majesty the Queen of the Netherlands was in attendance.

Speeches were also given by Lilianne Ploumen, the new Minister of International Trade and Development Cooperation and by Ton Dietz, Vice Chair of the PCC Curratorium.

The event included a debate with the audience, facilitated by Professor Leo de Haan.

A film highlighting the work of the Chairholders was shown and all ten chairholders of the first decade presented reflections on their work.
